Illustration for Japan - Threadless Causes Design
‘We will rise with the sun’ - tshirt design for threadless with all proceeds going to the Japan Earthquake appeal on the theme of sunrise. I have chosen to be inspired by traditional Japanese art, but have brought varying elements and textures together as the country pulls itself back to the whole. I have used pen and ink to create this illustration, and then edited on the computer, fusing the modern and traditional to pull the image together. The Japanese script says ‘we will rise with the sun’; empowering, and collective.
